Service is amazing, Paulo was super patient with us, we had no idea what to get and he helped us with the menu and guided us every step of the way. Super grateful for such a pleasant experience.
Edit: the food was even more amazing, I had the brisket and the pulled pork with both hot and sweet Barbeque sauce. I could legit eat a gallon of the barbecue sauce and pulled pork. I'm 12 weeks pregnant and this place did everything for my cravings. -

It's really more like a two, but I'm feeling generous. I stopped in for a quick lunch before heading to City Hall. I got the pulled pork sandwich with a topping of cole slaw. This was an okay sandwich, although it was quite messy, with much of the filling falling out.
The meat was okay, but very dry and I had to douse the meat with original sauce to eat it. Thankfully, the sauce was delicious! The cole slaw didn't have any dressing, and that's too bad, 'cuz that would have helped. The pickles on offer were *really* low quality, and that's a shame. Why do that? If you don't want to eat it, don't offer it. The bun was fresh, if a little greasy and a little squished.
Just to be clear, the meat isn't smoked, but cooked in an oven with flavored pellets to give the meat "smoke" taste. I wonder if just adding liquid smoke would be better. It's tough because it's not Texas or North Carolina where real estate is not at a premium and you can run a real smoker 24-7 without complaints. So you gotta compromise a bit....yet when I make slow cooker pulled pork, I try to use the fattiest meat I can find....otherwise extreme dryness will be a problem.
I think it's funny that they have a sign that says for a five-star Yelp review, you get a free cookie....hmmm...I don't think they have to worry about running out of cookies. -

Today was my first time ordering from here.
I was very disappointed.
The meat was bone dry. Like eat with your back teeth dry.
The potato salad tasted like something you can buy from Smart and Final.
They don't sell collard greens.
The mac and cheese had a weird texture, I would have preferred Stouffers.
I have a Chicago Ribs right by me, next time I'll stick to them. -

I want to love this place. The food is good. The service is meh. Always short staffed. Always slow. The staff never recognizes email and app deals promotions.

Great place very clean, was able to take us in even if it was late and they have a public bathroom too. Great customer service, and food is really good
